Historical Building Restoration Services in Venice

The refurbishment of the factory, once used for refractory on Murano, involves the construction of 21 residential units inside the industrial warehouse, built in late 30’s.
The project has set as a priority the preservation of the external appearance of buildings, retaining the visible brick wall and the scores of the entrances and windows, maintaining the typical characteristics of industrial building that are present on the island of Murano.


The open spaces are to be converted into private gardens with a communal space available for use in front of the lagoon.
The creation of an internal path will connect the entire complex from the Fondamenta Radi to the lagoon, it will become the covered meeting place for residents with access to all the apartments, and links to the upper floors of the main building with a communal staircase and elevator.

And also, with regards to the structure of the building, the project sought to maintain and enhance existing structural elements of the floors and roof trusses, to be seen, as much as possible.
